Led migration from HTML and WordPress to Drupal 10, overseeing content transfer, theme adaptation, ensuring smooth transition to modern.

Project Overview
The primary goal of this project is to establish a unified, scalable, and multilingual digital platform by migrating a legacy static website and existing WordPress content into a modern Drupal 10 environment. This transformation not only enhances maintainability and performance but also empowers content teams with more efficient tools to manage, publish, and scale their digital assets across different languages and marketing initiatives.
1. Migration from Static Site to Drupal 10
The existing website is currently a static implementation composed solely of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. While this setup offers speed and simplicity, it lacks flexibility, dynamic content management, and the ability to scale effectively with growing business needs. Migrating to Drupal 10 enables the organization to:
- Centralize content management with a robust CMS backend.
- Streamline updates and reduce technical overhead by empowering non-technical users to update content through the admin interface.
- Introduce reusability through a component-based architecture that aligns with modern development standards.
- Improve SEO and accessibility, leveraging Drupal’s native capabilities and SEO modules.
This migration includes converting the static pages into editable Drupal templates and building a structured architecture to allow for flexible content modeling and reusable layout components.
2. WordPress to Drupal News Migration
In addition to the static content, the project involves the full migration of all news articles from an existing WordPress site to Drupal 10. This step includes:
- Preserving metadata, publication dates, tags, categories, and authorship.
- Mapping WordPress taxonomies to Drupal vocabularies and ensuring a logical structure within the new CMS.
- Automated content import, using migration tools such as Drupal Migrate API or custom scripts to reduce manual effort and ensure data integrity.
- Redirects and SEO continuity, ensuring that existing URLs either persist or are redirected properly to avoid broken links and maintain search engine rankings.
3. Multilingual Support: English and Japanese
To serve a broader user base and meet regional compliance and accessibility needs, the new site will be fully multilingual, supporting both English and Japanese. This includes:
- Drupal’s core multilingual modules (Content Translation, Interface Translation, Language), configured and customized to ensure a seamless user experience in both languages.
- Localized content creation, allowing editors to maintain separate content entries or translated variants as required.
- Language switchers and automatic redirection based on browser language or user selection.
- Right-to-left (RTL) styling or locale-specific formatting where applicable for the Japanese audience.
This multilingual capability ensures that all users, regardless of language preference, receive an accessible and culturally appropriate digital experience.
4. Component-Based Landing Page Management
A significant portion of the digital presence relies on dynamic marketing pages, including landing pages, campaign microsites, and product-specific content hubs. These pages often require rapid deployment, frequent updates, and flexible layouts tailored to different marketing goals.
To support this need, the project will introduce a component-based design system within Drupal. This approach includes:
- Reusable, modular components (hero banners, carousels, CTAs, form blocks, testimonials, etc.) managed through a visual page builder or layout builder.
- Custom paragraphs or block types, enabling content creators to compose pages from a library of pre-configured elements.
- Support for A/B testing and versioning, allowing marketers to iterate and optimize campaigns quickly.
- Mobile-first, responsive design, ensuring campaign assets render beautifully across all devices.
The result is a more agile digital environment where teams can build and launch high-converting pages in less time and with greater design consistency.
